In CloudRanger, there are three ways to restore a snapshot. You can leave the volume unattached, restore as an instance or you can request a file level restore.

When you are viewing your list of backups via the backups resource section, you will have the ability to click the "Restore" option for each snapshot listed.

Here you will be presented with an overview of the snapshot you are going to restore, with associated tags.

Three restore options will be available and you may choose whichever method is best for you. In this case, you would choose the top option, Restore as an Instance.

When you choose to Restore as an Instance, you can launch an Instance from this snapshot and restore using the Slected Snapshot settings.

This will automatically update the General, Location, Security and Block Device Mappings  (if applicable) from the Snapshot.

Once you are happy with your settings, you can then click on the Restore Snapshot to Instance button to complete the restore process.
