CloudRanger uses TimeZone locations which provide a better degree of accuracy. To find a full 'List of TZ Database Time Zones' locations please check out the list below:

This replaces the old system that used hourly increments over UTC.
The old system had issues where not all locations abide by daylight savings rules based on their timezone.

To update your default timezone, click on the Settings section on the main dashboard.

Then choose the appropriate timezone for your backup policies or server schedules, as shown in the screenshot below:

For example, Arizona is in the Mountain Time (MT) timezone yet it does not have daylight savings.

In the new system, you can choose either Mountain Time or Arizona as a location and it will adhere to the daylight saving rules for the location.
