In CloudRanger, you can easily restore an AMI.

When you are viewing your list of backups via the backups resource section, you will have the ability to click the "RESTORE" option for each AMI listed. 

Here you will be presented with an overview of the AMI you are going to restore, you can then select the Availability Zone, the Instance type and associate tags with the new instance.

In the ADVANCED section, you can choose to add Subnet, Security Group and SSH Key if required. 

Then click LAUNCH to create your new Instance
